Växjö

To make campus as safe as possible there is a safety partnership: Linnaeus Union, Linnaeus University, Växjö municipality, the local police and the landlords Vidingehem, Heimstaden, K2A and Stubor. They spread knowledge and information, carry out safety walks and contribute funding to increase safety on campus.

The municipality

Safety

Tips to increase your safety

  • Get to know your city and campus – take time to explore and learn your way around.
  • Always walk with a friend, especially in the evening or at night.
  • Wear reflectors when it's dark and make sure your bike has working lights.
  • Keep your phone charged and the emergency number 112 close at hand.
  • Always lock your room and flat when you leave.
  • If you live on the ground floor – close the windows when you leave.
  • Keep doors to storage rooms and recycling rooms locked and don't prop the entrance door open – that lets unauthorised people in.
  • Don't lend your key to anyone else.
