About the scholarship

The application for Froda's Future Female Founder 2027 scholarship is now open. The scholarship gives SEK 100,000 to a female entrepreneur to invest in her business. In Sweden, we are often proud to be a pioneer in gender equality. But when it comes to entrepreneurship and female ownership, we still end up at the bottom in the EU. To strengthen the next generation of female entrepreneurs, Froda launched Future Female Founder in 2022. The scholarship supports women who are about to start, or have recently started, their own business with the ambition to build long-term and sustainable companies. The scholarship is awarded to a female entrepreneur each year. Previous winners include Miranda Matti (Lexflix), Janna Naser (Alga Insulations), Linda Alexandersson (Maybe Baby) and Sakina Turabali (Trustberry). The scholarship can be applied for by those who have started a business after January 1, 2026 or plan to do so before the end of the year. The application period runs until December 31, 2026, and the winner will be announced in March 2027.
